Concrete repair & patching in Philadelphia.

Crack chasing, spalling repair, surface resurfacing, joint sealing — the residential concrete repair work most concrete repair companies don’t want to bother with. We do, every week. Honest call on what needs repair vs. what needs replacement.

What we offer

Concrete repair work across Philadelphia.

Most concrete repair companies want the big jobs — full driveway tear-outs, full sidewalk replacements. We do those too, but we also pour the small jobs other concrete contractors won’t bother with: a single trip-hazard flag, a hairline crack, a chipped step edge. Honest residential concrete repair work, priced to the actual scope.

01

Crack chasing & sealing

Hairline and structural cracks chased with a router, cleaned, and sealed with a flexible polyurethane joint sealant that flexes with freeze cycles. The right concrete repair for cracks that haven’t opened up wide enough to need a full panel replacement.

02

Spalling & surface repair

Spalled concrete — the flaky, pitted surface that comes from salt damage and freeze cycles — gets ground clean and overlaid with a fresh topcoat. Color-matched feathering keeps the visual transition reading clean.

03

Trip-hazard fixes

Single panel pushed up by a tree root or settled below the next flag. Three options: grind the lip, mudjack the panel back to grade, or saw-cut and replace just that flag. Cheapest option that holds, every time.

04

Edge & corner rebuilds

Chipped step edges, broken corner joints, lifted apron edges. Form-built edge repairs with bonding agent and color-matched concrete — not the surface caulk most cheap residential concrete repair fixes try to pass off.

05

Joint resealing

Old expansion joints that have opened up, dried out, or caulked over with the wrong sealant get cleaned and re-sealed with proper joint material. Stops water from tracking under the slab and freezing.

06

Repair-vs-replace assessment

The most valuable thing we do on a concrete repair call: tell you straight whether your slab actually needs repair, replacement, or nothing at all. Reviews regularly mention us telling customers they don’t need work yet.

Repair vs. replace

The honest call on what your slab actually needs.

The fastest way to spot a bad concrete contractor: every quote is for full replacement. Real residential concrete repair starts with a real assessment — what’s structural, what’s cosmetic, what’s actually going to fail in the next two years vs. the next twenty.

01

Surface only? Repair.

Spalling, hairline cracks, edge chips, surface pitting — if the slab is structurally sound and the failure is cosmetic, concrete repair work holds up for decades. Replacement is overkill.

02

Cracked through? Replace.

Cracks that go all the way through the slab, settling that’s opened up gaps, base failure under the concrete — no amount of patching fixes it. Replacement is the right call. We’ll quote it as such.

03

Trip-hazard mid-panel? Grind or mudjack.

Lifted panel from a tree root, settled flag from soft sub-base — sometimes a grind or a mudjack lift fixes the safety problem cheaper than panel replacement. Right repair for the right problem.

04

Nothing? We’ll say that too.

Sometimes the call is "leave it alone." Hairline cracks that don’t affect structure or drainage can sit for years. We’ll tell you when that’s the right answer — verified review pattern, not a marketing line.

Why Marcello

Concrete repair done like a pour, not a patch.

Real concrete repair, not bag patch.

A bag of patch from the hardware store sits on top of failing concrete and falls off the next freeze. We use bonding agents, color-matched mixes, and proper edge prep so the repair becomes part of the slab, not a topical fix.

We’ll tell you not to do work.

Reviews repeatedly note us telling customers their concrete is fine and not to spend money. That’s the difference between residential concrete repair and a sales operation: we get paid to do the job that’s actually needed.

Most concrete repair companies skip small jobs.

A single trip-hazard flag, one cracked panel, an edge chip — not enough money for the big concrete contractors. We do them anyway. Most weeks include three or four small repair calls between bigger pours.

Owner-poured, owner-finished.

Marcello and his father are on most jobs themselves. The hands that look at the failure are the hands that fix it. No project-manager who’s never seen your slab.

FAQ

Concrete repair questions, answered.

How do I know if my concrete needs repair vs. full replacement?

The simplest test: is the failure on the surface or all the way through? Spalling, hairline cracks, edge chips — surface failures, residential concrete repair handles them. Cracks you can see daylight through, settling, displaced panels — structural failures, replacement is the right call.

We’ll do the full assessment on site for free.

Can you fix surface spalling on my driveway / sidewalk / porch?

Yes — surface spalling is one of the most common concrete repair calls we get, especially after a hard winter of salt and freeze cycles. We grind the spalled surface clean and overlay a fresh topcoat with a bonding agent and color-matched concrete. Lasts 15–25 years if done right.

Do bag-concrete patches actually work?

For a 2′ sidewalk crack on a Saturday afternoon, sure — for a few months. Real concrete repair uses bonding agents, proper edge prep, and color-matched mix designs so the patch becomes part of the slab. Bag patches sit on top and pop off the next freeze.

Will the repair match the existing concrete color?

Close, not exact. Concrete cures to its final color over months and never quite matches a fresh pour next to old concrete. We use color-matched mixes and feathered edges to make the transition read as clean as possible — but no honest concrete repair company can promise an invisible repair.

If perfect color match matters more than cost, full panel replacement is the move.

How long does concrete repair work take?

Most concrete repair calls wrap in a single day on site. Crack chasing and joint resealing is a few hours. Surface resurfacing on a porch or step is a half- to full-day. Larger residential concrete repair projects can run 1–2 days.

Do you do small repair jobs, or only big concrete contractor work?

Both. A single trip-hazard flag, one cracked panel, an edge chip on a step — we’ll quote them and pour them. Most concrete repair companies skip these because the dollar amount is too low. We do them between bigger pours because customers remember.
